In the environment they deserve.
OUR CURRICULUM:
Our Elementary students experience a rich curriculum grounded in Classical education and the Performing Arts and beyond that complement their Montessori experience.
TRINITY STUDENTS PREPARE FOR LIFE BEYOND OUR WALLS, AND ENJOY EACH STEP OF THE JOURNEY.
The best way to advance your understanding of the Montessori method is by taking a tour of our school and by speaking to a member of our team. Schedule your visit today!
ARTS EDUCATION
The positive impact of music on the developing mind cannot be overstated. To meet this need, Trinity is pleased to offer the following performing arts opportunities:
Weekly chorus and general music class
Orff ensemble
Yearly full-scale musical productions
Field trips to local theater events
In-school musical guest performances
Academics
While our students often demonstrate academic excellence simply because they learn to love learning, TMS further prepares young people for success in Middle and High school with a blend of Classical and progressive approaches.
Language arts lessons are conducted in multi-age reading groups, which tackle classic literature and poetry
Arithmetic and geometry are introduced with tactile materials, and move toward abstraction in later years in accordance with Montessori principles
The narrative “Great Lessons,” transcribed and passed down directly from Maria Montessori’s herself, offer an entry point into science and history, which spark the imagination and inspire students to conduct their own research and prepare presentations
Special lessons in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Mandarin Chinese, and Physical Education are also offered weekly

No! We believe in a work/life balance for our students, which means you’ll be able to better enjoy your evenings with your young ones, and we’ll get fresher, more ready students in the morning!

Certainly! The shady West Ashley TMS campus has on-site play spaces, easy access to the Mary Utsey playground and fields across the street, and a Clemson Extension grant funded garden.
Indeed, most of our classrooms have direct access to the outdoors, where students are encouraged to work and enjoy sensory experiences to supplement the regular cadence of recess and phys ed classes.

One of the core curricular areas of the Montessori Method is called “Practical Life,” which is our way of teaching applicable, useable skills to children of all ages.
This can mean a great many things: Toddlers learn to clean a table after they eat, Casa-aged children refine their ability to serve themselves food and dress themselves, and the children in our Elementary class have community meetings in which to develop empathy and conflict resolution skills, to name a few!
